Book Of Lightning Yellow Vinyl + CD (w/ 16 Page Booklet)

Released for the first time ever on vinyl, in a limited edition’sunrise‘ yellow colorway, is the eighth studio album by The Waterboys. When it was first released in 2007, a majority of ‘Book Of Lightning’ was recorded at the defunct Island Studios in West London. Artists such as Richard Naiff on piano, Thighpaulsaandra on keyboards, Leo Abrahams on guitar, and Jeremy Stacey and Brady Blade on drums join Mike Scott and Steve Wickham on this album. Two songs, Everybody Takes A Tumble and The Man With The Wind At His Heels, were written for but not recorded during the sessions for the classic Fisherman’s Blues album. Other highlights include the understated country rock epic She Tried To Hold Me and the beautiful Sustain, recorded with members of the Canadian band Great Aunt Ida. Songs by Scott “feel like they have been handed to him from a crack in the clouds,” wrote The Guardian reviewer Dave Simpson.
