From the pitch to the royal box, the tour offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the history and legacy of this legendary stadium. In this article, we will cover everything you need to know before visiting Wembley Stadium.

Wembley Stadium Tours UK Opening Hours

The opening hours for Wembley Stadium Tours is from 10am, and the doors will close at last entry, which may vary depending on the season. To enter the tour, head to the entrance on level 1 of the stadium, located directly behind the Bobby Moore Statue. Visitors can use the external lift to reach the entrance, which is on the left-hand side of the Club Wembley entrance. It is important to note that Wembley Stadium has a 100% bag search policy and does not offer cloakroom services. Therefore, visitors should keep their personal belongings with them at all times.

Booking Your Tickets

You can buy your tickets for the tour on the day you visit the stadium, but it is cheaper to pre-book them. If you decide to pre-book, the timeslot you choose is an arrival time, not a tour departure time. This system helps to manage the flow of visitors into the stadium and ensure that everyone has the best possible experience. Each visitor will be given a Multi Media Guide (MMG) on arrival, which acts as a guide for the first two sections of the tour. Visitors should wear the MMG around their necks, as it acts as your accreditation while on site.

What to Expect During the Tour

The Wembley Stadium is a fascinating attraction where visitors can explore the stadium and learn about the rich history and culture of the ground. Nevertheless, please be aware that there are some dark spaces, strobe lighting, and sound effects on the tour. If you would like to avoid these areas, please inform a member of staff. Generally, the tour will take you through various rooms and areas, including the players’ tunnel, the pitch, the royal box, and more. Visitors will have the opportunity to take photos and learn about the various events that have taken place at Wembley Stadium.

Wheelchairs are welcome on the Wembley Stadium Tour; however, the Royal Box and its associated steps are not wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair-bound guests will be assisted by staff to the Royal Box through an alternative path. The Stadium Tour features accessible restrooms for anyone with physical limitations.

What to Expect During Your Tour

Your tour experience kicks off upon your arrival. You’ll receive your Multi Media Guide (MMG) and have the freedom to explore the first two sections of the tour at your own pace. Five minutes before your guided portion begins, your MMG will alert you. If you’d like more time in the self-guided areas, that’s perfectly fine; just let a member of their Tour team know.

During the guided phase, a Tour Host will accompany you and your group through the more secure areas of the stadium, providing interesting facts and insights at key stops along the way. They will utilize the master device to share infographics and videos with your MMG.

At the conclusion of the tour, your Tour Host will collect all MMGs and guide you to the Stadium Store, where you’ll have the opportunity to purchase tour photos and a variety of Wembley memorabilia.

Duration of the Tour

The duration of your visit depends on how long you decide to spend in the self-guided sections. The guided segments of the tour typically last around 75 minutes. They recommend budgeting around 2 hours for your entire visit.

Is There a Tour Café in the Stadium?

Regrettably, they do not have a tour café within the stadium. However, there is a vending machine available in the self-guided tour areas.
