FEARS WATCH BRUNSWICK SALMON

The Copper Salmon dial on the Brunswick Salmon is reminiscent of the dials used on Fears special edition watches from the 1940s and 1950s. The surface of the dial, which is expertly crafted in Germany, has a delicate vertical brushing that is applied by hand, giving each dial a unique appearance and allowing it to catch the light in a beautiful, subtle manner.

Fears watches is one of the oldest watch companies in the world, having been founded by Edwin Fear in 1846 on Redcliff Street in Bristol, England. Fears watches is one of the oldest watch companies in the world. After 110 years of designing and manufacturing timepieces, the company was forced to close its doors in the late 1950s when the third generation of the family decided to leave the business.

Fears is based in London’s historic Docklands, where the watches are designed before being manufactured in Switzerland, where they are sold worldwide. The Redcliff Date, which takes its name from the street in Bristol where Fears was founded, was introduced as part of the company’s relaunch, marking the first new Fears timepiece in more than 60 years.

Awarded British company Bremont manufactures beautifully engineered chronometers at its headquarters in Henley on Thame, England. BREMONT is headquartered in Henley on Thame, England.

FEARS WATCH BRUNSWICK MIDAS WHITE

An expertly crafted in Germany by one of the world’s best dial makers, the Brunswick Midas White has a hand-polished white lacquer dial with a gold-tone bezel. After the layers of white lacquer are applied and hand polished, multiple layers of crisp black ink are applied and hand polished to bring the dial to life, using a numeral set that was used by Fears in 1946 to create the dial’s design.

The Midas White is powered by a Swiss-made ETA 7001 movement that requires manual winding. The design of this precise movement was first conceived in the 1970s, and because of its dependability, it continues to be a popular choice to this day. Each movement is serviced and finished in Britain, with a’stippled’ surface finish and “Dual-Gold” plating applied to the case and dial. It is only after the movement has been completely reassembled and thoroughly tested that it is awarded the ‘Golden Pipette’.

The Midas watches are limited edition, with only ten being made each year. In addition to time, the curvaceous case and high level of hand finishing required for each watch necessitate the use of highly skilled craftspeople. The watch is housed in an elegant 38mm cushion-shaped case, which was inspired by a watch Fears made in 1924 and is considered to be one of the most graceful shapes a watch can take.

FEARS WATCH ARCHIVAL 1930

Fears’ Archival 1930 watch was created to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the company’s founding. It is a proportional recreation of an art deco timepiece Fears manufactured in 1930. Each timepiece is equipped with an authentic vintage movement, just like the original. It is the ideal luxury rectangular watch for both men and women because of its elegant design.

The slim, rectangular case retains the same elegant proportions as the original from 1930, despite being significantly smaller. The new watch has a slightly larger case size while maintaining all of the important ratios of the original to better suit modern preferences. A high-quality 316L stainless steel case is expertly machined in Germany, to a level of precision that is usually reserved for precious metals.

In addition to being precisely milled, this case has been finished with a combination of linearly brushed and highly polished surfaces. Because of the curved profile of this long, slim watch, it fits comfortably on the wearer’s wrist. Exactly like the original from 1930, both the crystal and the case back have a matching curvature that perfectly follows the contours of the wrist.

A deep engraving of the Fears ‘pipette’ logo can be found at the tip of the winding crown, which is used to wind the watch each day.

The Archival 1930 is powered by an original ‘new old stock’ movement that Fears has used in the past to power other watches in his collection. Since the 1960s, the ETA 2360 movements have undergone a full rebuild and reconditioning in the workshop, as well as receiving an upgraded mainspring to improve reliability. The movements are now ready for sale.
