RUST CONSOLE DAY ONE EDITION (XBOX ONE)

Rust is a survival video game developed by Facepunch Studios that is only playable in multiplayer mode. Rust was first made available in early access in December 2013, and it was officially released in full in February 2018. Rust is a programming language that is available on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. The Double Eleven-developed PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console versions will be released in May 2021, along with the Double Eleven-developed PC versions. In its early stages, Rust was intended to be a clone of DayZ, which was a popular mod for ARMA 2, and to include crafting elements similar to those found in Minecraft.

Rust’s goal is to survive in the wilderness by foraging for food and crafting items from found or stolen materials. Unless players are successful in controlling their hunger, thirst, and health, they will perish. In spite of the presence of hostile animals such as bears and wolves, the primary threat to the player is posed by other players due to the fact that the game is played entirely online. Firearms and other weapons, such as bows and arrows, are used in combat to achieve victory. Non-player characters will also be able to control vehicles, which will occasionally roam the map and attack armed players. Making things in Rust is possible, though it is initially restricted until specific items in the game’s open world are discovered and used. Players must build bases or join clans in order to increase their chances of surviving in order to stay safe. Rust is heavily influenced by the art of raiding. Rust supports modded servers, which can be used to add additional content to existing servers.

Rust was first made available to the public through the Steam Early Access programme in December 2013. A significant amount of change was made to the gameplay during this period of development. Dangerous wildlife has taken the place of zombies as the primary environmental threat, and several fundamental revisions to the crafting system, as well as general improvements and feature additions, have been made available to players. While still in Early Access, Rust was ported to the Unity 5 game engine, which resulted in significant graphical improvements. In addition, the game introduced immutable, predetermined skin colour and biological sex that were tied to players’ Steam account information. Despite the fact that the game has been fully released, it continues to receive updates.

While Rust was in alpha, the reception was mixed, with many critics comparing it to other survival games of the same genre. When Rust was first released, it was described as a hybrid of DayZ and Minecraft. During this time period, reviewers frequently commented on the fact that the game was unfinished. Rust received positive reviews from critics during its pre-release period, and by March 2017, the game had sold more than five million copies worldwide. After it was taken out of Early Access, it received a mixed reception from critics. Those who enjoyed the game praised the player vs player combat and survival elements, though some critics expressed displeasure with the game’s difficult beginner experience and the constant need to grind for resources.

ELDEN RING LAUNCH EDITION (XBOX SERIES X)

A new action role-playing game, Elden Ring, is in development by FromSoftware and is set to be released by Bandai Namco Entertainment later this year. In collaboration with fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin, who provided material for the game’s setting, Hidetaka Miyazaki directed the game, which was released in 2013. Elden Ring is set to be released on February 25, 2022, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Elden Ring will be available for download from the Microsoft Store.

With combat and exploration at the forefront of its gameplay, Elden Ring is an action role-playing game played in the third-person perspective. It draws inspiration from its predecessors, the Souls series and other games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, while also incorporating elements from other games like Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. According to director Hidetaka Miyazaki, players begin with a linear introduction before progressing to a free exploration of the Lands Between, which includes its six main areas as well as castles, fortresses, and catacombs scattered throughout the open world map. Similar to Firelink Shrine in Dark Souls, these main areas are interconnected through a central hub that players can access later in the game’s progression and are explorable using the character’s mount as the primary mode of transportation, although a fast travel system is also available. In the course of the game, players will come across a variety of non-player characters (NPCs) and enemies, including the demigods who rule over each main area and serve as the game’s primary bosses.

Several character-building elements from previous Souls games and related intellectual properties, such as close-ranged melee combat with the use of skills, magic abilities, and blocking and dodging mechanics, are incorporated into Elden Ring’s combat system. Equipped combat and a stealth system, the latter of which was a key gameplay element in Sekiro, are introduced in Elden Ring, and these elements are expected to encourage players to strategize their combat approach with each unique enemy they encounter. After being absent from Sekiro, the game makes use of a player character’s stamina bar, though its overall influence on combat has been reduced when compared to previous FromSoftware games that made use of the feature in the past. In contrast to Sekiro, there are no resurrection mechanics available after an in-game death; however, some elements have been added to ensure that players continue to progress through the game.

When asked about the customization in Elden Ring, Miyazaki stated that it would be more extensive because players would be able to discover different skills through their exploration of the map, rather than through unlocking skill trees as was the case in Sekiro and in contrast to the pre-fixed weapon skills of FromSoftware’s previous games. In addition to equipment, magic abilities, and items that players can craft from materials found throughout the world, these skills are interchangeable with a large variety of weapons, allowing players to customise their character’s appearance and abilities. [4][6] It also includes summoning mechanics, which allow players to summon a large variety of collectible spirits hidden throughout the game’s world map, as well as previously defeated enemies, as allies to aid them in combat. In a similar vein to the Souls series, the game’s multiplayer allows for the summoning of other players for cooperative gameplay.

MASS EFFECT LEGENDARY EDITION (XBOX ONE)

In this case, Mass Effect Legendary Edition refers to a compilation of the video games in the Mass Effect trilogy (Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3) in one package. Developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts, it is a strategy game. Visual enhancements, technical improvements, and gameplay adjustments were made to all three games as part of the remastering process. Mass Effect, the first game in the trilogy, received more extensive upgrades than its sequels, particularly in the areas of graphics, combat mechanics, vehicle handling, and loading times, among other things.

It was in 2019 that Mac Walters, who had previously served as the lead writer for Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, took the reins of development on the Legendary Edition. BioWare chose to approach the project as a remaster rather than a remake in order to maintain the integrity of the original trilogy’s gameplay experience. Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions of the compilation were released on May 14, 2021, following its announcement on November 7, 2020. In addition to complimenting the enhanced experience of the first title as well as the convenience and scope of the overall package, video gaming publications praised Legendary Edition for its excellent presentation and packaging. A small amount of criticism was levelled at the extent to which the gameplay and visual changes were altered in certain areas.
