Comparing older Air Jordan 1s to recent releases that have a true to size fit, the older Air Jordan 1s have a snugger fit. If you have wide feet, you can even get away with going a half size up in the 1s; however, I would recommend sticking with your true size to avoid creasing the toe box.
However, even though there is an Air Sole in the heel, the entire outsole is made of solid rubber, which is not nearly as forgiving as foam products such as Polyurethane, Phylon, and EVA are in their design. It should be noted that Michael Jordan broke his foot while wearing the Air Jordan 1 during a game.

Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low
It is true that the Air Jordan 1s are true to size. But if you have narrower feet and prefer a snug fit to avoid the inevitable toe-box crease, you can simply size down by half a size and they will still fit comfortably.
Also, a pair of Lows can be an excellent choice for a more laid-back summer look. Choose wisely, and pair it with the appropriate shirt and pants, and you’ll be in good shape for a while.
