What is so special about whiskey?
Whiskey is loaded with polyphenols, which are a type of antioxidant found in plants and are associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease. It has been demonstrated that the polyphenols found in whiskey can lower levels of “bad” cholesterol (LDL), as well as increase levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL), and reduce levels of triglycerides, which are fat found in the blood.

The name “Virginia Black” was given to the brand-new variety of whiskey that was produced as a result of the collaboration between Drake and Brent Hocking. It is a collection of bourbon whiskey that has been aged for two, three, and four years and focuses on having a high rye content as well as being finished with a decadent profile. The collection was comprised of pieces that the owner had personally chosen.

The Irish Distillers subsidiary of Pernod Ricard is responsible for producing the blended Irish whiskey known as Jameson. Jameson was originally distilled at the Jameson Distillery Bow St., but it is now produced at the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork. Jameson was one of the six main Dublin Whiskeys at one point. In 2019, annual sales passed 8 million cases, making it by far the most popular type of Irish whiskey sold anywhere in the world. Since the early 19th century, it has been offered for sale across the globe, and today it can be purchased in more than 130 different nations.
