Tanned leather comes from farms in the south of Brazil, where there are no chromes, heavy metals, or hazardous acids (Rio Grande do Sul). Reduce the amount of chemicals, energy, water, and salt used in the tanning process to make it more environmentally friendly and cost effective. It is possible to repurpose the tanning water. ChromeFree leather is composed of bovine ChromeFree leather, which is smooth and light. In the Rio Grande do Sul region of southern Brazil, the leather is tanned without the use of chrome, heavy metals, or possibly dangerous chemicals. There are numerous advantages to expediting the tanning process, including lower use of chemicals and energy, less water use, and less salt use. It is possible to reuse the water after a tan session. Taking the insoles out and letting them air out after each wear is an excellent idea.
Keeping your shoes in a cool, dry place, away from any source of heat, is the best option.Clean up any spills with a brush and soapy water.
