About Emma Bridgewater

Emma began it in 1984 after she was employed in London immediately after her graduation. She was out to shop for a birthday gift for her mother. She wished to bring her two ‘I love you. Thus, it was clear that only manufacturing china herself could meet the goal. But she had no idea how or where she was going to get it.

Through word of mouth from a friend Stoke-on-Trent was suggested. The brand, which has become one of the most recognizable modern ceramics, was created.
