About SANS MATIN
SANS MATIN was founded in 2015 by Charly and Lockie Cunningham (both cousins) while they were traveling through South America. A new set of daily trainers was needed after a small problem with Lockie’s only trainers and a tumble dryer. The founders were in the hunt for very fashionable and really comfortable shoes that were also of very good quality, affordable and suitable for both a bar in Medellin, Colombia and an office in London. They soon realised what they were looking for did not exist and so SANS MATIN was born.
Over the last decade, SANS MATIN has witnessed a massive shift in the culture of today’s modern corporations andstart-ups,which challenges traditional norms such as working hours and, arguably more relevant to their business, dress codes. This cultural change is best represented by trainers, which have become mandatory wear in almost all spheres of life, from offices to nightclubs. Such beliefs are represented in their brand name SANS MATIN, which in French means ‘Without Morning. ’ It represents the concept of ‘Work Hard, Play Hard. ’
