Having worked for almost three decades in women’s’ fashion, Jo Hooper had witnessed how their lives had evolved. As more women than ever are working from home or part-time, clothes do not necessarily have to be for the 9-5 or the special occasion. Always attracted to the Japanese concept of one-mile wear, Jo set out to create exactly that: elegant stylish and comfortable clothes in beautiful natural fabrics that you will want to wear from home to nearby and sometimes to the Far away. And so, with the help of some good friends and colleagues.
Jo was joined by Cornelia Smith, a friend and colleague from ‘corporate’ days, and NRBY Clothing was born – a response to the need for comfortable, comforting, colourful clothing – to be worn everyday, everywhere, (almost!) … When life feels unpredictable, when comfort and ease of movement are imperative, when they no longer shop by seasons and when only the best fabrics touch their team has been established and is being established as they continue to learn from their customers.
